Sunset from the west peak of China's sublime Mt Hua Shan.
One of China's five sacred mountains, the climb to the top is brutal. But stay the night on the summit and the views will leave you even more breathless. You'll see red ribbons and padlocks attached to chains all the way along the climb. They're beleived to bring good fortune. I left one small padlock with my initials engraved on it at the very top too. Whether or not it brings me luck, it's nice just knowing that it's up there. Hua Shan is about 120 kilometres east of Xi'an. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
